Jed Sutter
Self-taught painter in realism
I am a self-taught artist working to create compelling images for myself and for others. My aim is to recreate art that stimulates me, and I hope those feelings are transferred to the viewer.

My work is created in the studio and on location. Urban architecture, the aging municipal trolleys that rumble behind my home, the shores and harbors of my youth, and occasionally something completely outside of my usual subjects are the colors of my palette.Oil, acrylic, watercolor and gouache are my mediums. After seeing the subject I'll get a feeling about which medium suits it best. It sounds hokey, but the painting usually tells me which medium to use.
