Susan Penney Marion

 I feel a sense of purpose when I paint. I am repeatedly drawn towards the beauty in nature and compelled to capture it with my paintbrush. I love the way sunlight flickers over a body of water, creating rhythmic patterns as warm colors meet cool. I find early morning and late afternoon light to reveal the most dramatic coloration in a landscape. Seeking to capture these fleeting moments, I want to understand the truth in what is visually happening. My hope is to bring peace or a moment of appreciation for the natural world in which we live in through my pictures.
